2023-02-08 08:14:53 +0000 UTCSeason 1 covered 21 chapters and there are no hints on whether this gets a Season 2. So at this pace you wouldn't get the backstory until Season 3 at least. If it does get a third season that won't be for a VERY VERY VERY long time.

2023-02-08 05:36:55 +0000 UTCWhile it was a negative story wise; one of the best tidbits of this episode was that the first song they played was off on purpose and if you hear carefully you can hear how everyone was off until Bocchi starts rifting before the second song starts. That’s when everything music production wise got in sync. This episode broke the internet at the time it dropped; the official performance is on YouTube with almost 8 million views alone. I came back thinking about this episode again after this rewatch and thought about how much of a balance and clutch these girls are to each other. Kita is the positivity of bringing smiles and cheers, Ryo is the cold one who has the backbone to defend the group, Bocchi is the motivation to help the band up their game, and finally Nijika is the glue that keeps everyone together through thick and thin. I got goosebumps when Bocchi just went off, everyone went quiet and if you look carefully Ryo drops her arms in awe, Pa-San’s (The girl with the chin piercing) reaction too with her mouth slightly open, just so many great details in this episode! I went on for too long lol. Anyways yea I loved this episode and your reaction to it!

The whole chapter is a flashback to events that happened before the show and goes more in depth about Nijika and her sister's relationship (as well as what happened to their Mom). It's an amazing chapter and I nearly cried reading it.

2023-02-08 01:48:26 +0000 UTCThird ED. The song is "What is wrong with" sung by Nijika's VA, Sayumi Suzushiro. This is one of the best episodes of 2022 (of all animes) in my opinion. The dialog between Bocchi and Nijika in the end is a gem. When Bocchi tells Nijika that she especially wants to tell her about being Guitarhero, the face of Nijika is precious. The concert is a work of art. and all the gags are awesome.
