Once in the room, Lily left Marc softly on the bed, and proceeded to take off her clothes.

"Good morning, my love," Lily whispered, gently approaching him so as not to wake him abruptly.

Marc stretched out, stretching out his tiny arms and opening the green eyes that Lily loved so much.

"Yes, it is. Let's have a quick breakfast before Alyson comes over

After a brief breakfast the doorbell rang.

Lily walked with Marc in her hand toward the door.

However, suddenly, the lights flickered and once again, a shrill alarm filled the air.

"No, not again!" Lily shouted, running to the controls to abort the experiment.

When the noise stopped and the smoke cleared, Marc was still five centimeters. The silence in the room was deafening, filled with disappointment and frustration.

"I'm so sorry," Alyson said, her voice cracking with guilt. I failed to find a solution.

"It's not your fault," Marc replied, his tone soft and understanding. This is something new for everyone. We need time to find the right way.

Lily, tears welling in her eyes, leaned over to pick Marc up tenderly.

"Let's go home, Marc. We need a break. Alyson, please keep looking for a solution in your university lab. We will need to adapt to this situation for now.

Alyson nodded, vowing not to rest until she found an answer. Meanwhile, Marc and Lily went back up to their home, facing the reality that Marc would remain tiny for an indefinite amount of time.
