Now sure which wiki says that. Borscht is hot dish, similar soups which are served cold have other names. Wikipedia gets that right: the Lithuanian language is the only one in the region which actually refers to it as 'cold borscht' (šaltibarščiai). In Belarusian it is known simply as khaladnik, or 'cold soup'; in Polish as chłodnik litewski, or 'Lithuanian cold soup'; and in Russian as svekolnik, or 'beetroot soup'.

Borsch? Served cold? Are you joking? Svekolnik is served cold, Okróshka is served cold, but borsch?
