Thereβs literally no context needed to grasp whatβs happening and understand with the gut-fall feeling of a rollercoaster drop what will happen next; each panel is a click closer to the top. I have to stop repeating myself about how good you are at the subtleties that really make a facial expression feel real but godDAMN. The change in AfOβs eyes from page two to three is so subtle yet perfectly executed, and it shows the audience in real time how everything is slowed down as the shock sets in. And that final page, where AfOβs expression is no longer emoting but going flat in that autopilot-kicking-in kind of way, where you know heβs about to default to extreme violence because how else would he react to seeing All Might shot? For all his intelligence and many long years of life, seeing the only man worth his time, his attention, or his peculiar brand of affection be gunned down, probably in no small part because of their relationship (it does look like the interim President is also blaming All Might, if Iβm piecing together all the background text correctly, which is another touch I love that you did), could only lead to one outcome: a bloodbath. For a comic that focuses so much on just a few characters and a lot of closeups, you packed in a freight car of feels. It's understated but impactful. Well done.
