An idea came to me with the fact that though he DOESN'T like sparing people all too much - he does have a couple he does keep alive for "entertainment". Someone that probably got off a bit on watching him turn someone else into mulch. Since it seems the twisted types interest him the most. Best way to describe the relationship? He has a flavor(heh) of the week or however long, drops in basically whenever(if they're home) and just does his thing. The listener understands this arrangement and knows that he'll kill them whenever he's bored/found someone new. But enjoys the pleasure/pain as long as it lasts. (They also probably get all their affairs in order during this time because they might die, probably makes him laugh at that.) (Consider him making a comment about not needing to breath.)
