To add onto this the culprit who always calls her “언니” (Korean for sis) I think he calls her that sarcastically to annoy her or scare her I don’t think he’s her real brother

2024-12-14 13:29:33 +0000 UTCI empathise with both leads so much. They’ve had to be alone and heartbroken and pretty much raise themselves/pick themselves up. But both of them remain kind. With Heejoo, you see her kindness/love in the way she directly interacts with people and talks to them. With Saeon, you see him standing up for the people he cares about and the acts of service he does without people knowing. They’ve both been hurt and while Heejoo’s vulnerability/kindness is her strength, Saeon hides it like a weakness. Can’t wait for them to be happy and feel the love from each other that they’ve never gotten from their family 😭😭

More empathy for the FL (not that she's lining up for my sympathy bouquet or anything). The writers have been leaving breadcrumb trails to clue us in on why, back in episode 1, she was itching to break free from that marriage. Then in episode 2, she's done with her side gig of 'cosplaying' as her older sister. Come episode 3, post-accident,’ she's effectively silenced—like a teenager whose phone just got confiscated. Her life? Halted. Dreams? Dashed. And she's now reduced to her elder stepsister’s unpaid intern. We’re still in the dark about their relationship, but honestly, who cares? Words have already demolished her world. When the male lead felt betrayed in this episode, I did sympathize, but hey, buddy—YOUR WORDS shattered the trust she might’ve had. And don't even get me started on evil kidnapper doppleganger (in name only) Sae-on, who’s probably in cahoots with Spitfire Mama-in-law. As for the 2nd ML, he was okay until he decided to book a one-way trip to Overstep Ville at the celebrate dinner. Time to cut him loose! Can't wait for tomorrow's episode. PS To answer your question he was texting with the sister at the end of episode two and you heard a voice read it out. I did notice in this episode that she appears to hear.
