Even saying Rudy was cheating when roxy took advantage is crazy. If the gender roles would be reversed everyone would call it rape and lose their mind. Thats for the first time they had sex together (not sure if it happened mire than once) And Psychologicaly speaking, people who are at such a low point and in so much despair often lose the ability to act rational and with morality/values intact. They are often in a dissociative state, like they are not really present. Specially with PTSD symptoms people tend to shut down certain emotions and logical thinking being stuck in flashbacks or a vegetativ state where they just let anything happen to them unable to act. Hope that didn't sound aggressiv or anything like it.
