Alpha getting hurt was bound to happen with Cids extremly selfish personality. He treats this world like a game similar to Ren from Shield Hero, ignoring the impact of his actions on others. The only difference between them is that Cid is OP and lucky af. I never vibed with him even from S1 because of how self absorbed he is (although he did have a heart to heart with Alexia that one time on the train last season which was priceless - thats why I still got hope for this moron). Ugh, I can't wait for the situation to get resolved with Alpha, I hate seeing her hurt like that.

I read a comment on youtube and it makes so much sense when I thought about it: When Cid stoped Rose from cutting her neck in S01E19, when she outs him as "The stylish bandit slayer" he said "I thought that was the therianthrope girl", but here when Yukime is saying her story, he said "I thought that was Senpai", senpai, as in Rose, who is older than him aka. his senpai, this stupid fuck ran around saving girls as a kid and forgot who he saved and when so he's mixing up the stories now🤦🏼‍♂️

I never liked this arc. Its my least favourite of every arc in the first 4 books but people seem to love it and I don't understand why. I wonder if people will see it differently now it is in anime format. BTW this almost got me to drop the book if it didn't get better in vol 4. but it did and produced my favourite of the 8 arcs in the final arc of vol 4 which is the arc after next.

Alpha was really upset with CId because it was him destroying everything she an the others had built. How would you feel if your best from took everything from you an didn't explain why. Then fought you an won an left you laying in the snow. People have feelings an Cid doesn't care. He killed the trust that she had for him. Cid just thinks this is a big game an doesn't care about anyone else other than himself. Oh when he was in the chair as Shadow he couldn't give away that he was John Smith he was just thinking of something to say.

28:16 Delta has a bad habit of getting lost and/or forgetting to report back. Even in S1, she didn't come back from Lindwurm/Sacred Land after everyone else had left until we see her again begging for meat from Cid's ramen bowl. After Cid sends her after Juggernaut, he predicts that she'll be back by spring, hibernating over the winter. Most likely, because she's too dumb to simply follow the train tracks back to the capital.
