It's 10 times the diameter of the Earth, if it's a 10 year one way trip. Assuming an average walking speed of 3 miles an hour [5Km an hour] It would take just under a year to walk around the equator of the Earth. If you factor in things like having to stop traveling in the winter, or getting distracted by other things, that number is only going to go up.

2023-10-04 17:42:30 +0000 UTC30:00 technically, the journey itself took less than 10 years, else it would have taken them 5 to get there and then 5 to get back, or like 4 there and back with 2 in between to beat the demon king (?); neither really track with needing to make it all the way back to report in and ‘then’ start celebrating, so there’s some kinda fast-travel shenanigans that should be available 70+ years later. That is, Director isn’t wrong, it should wind up much faster than the 10 years, as long as no new dangers are afoot.

If they just beelined it straight to the Demon king's castle they'd be there much sooner. However Frieren wants to retrace her steps. Essentially redoing the journey her and her party took all those years ago, and that's why it's going to be another 10 year adventure.
