So if you’re making up a heinous scenario to debunk what i said, its going to be irrelevant because Rudy hasnt done that. There can be a point where he does something and you cant look past it for any reason but that hasn’t occured yet

2023-09-21 01:07:45 +0000 UTCOne of the things that makes Mushoku so great, to me, is the fact that none of the characters are 'perfect'. they all have issues of some kind, some issues may be more extreme than others. Rudy being who he is, a 40+ year old mentally in a body 30 something years younger than his mind, isn't an issue to anybody who's actually paid any attention to the story. He was basically trapped as a shutin, he never got to experience the normal steps in life to mature, he feared people, he feared socialization. But everyone also ignores one very important question, "what if YOU got trapped in a younger body, would you be able to keep a hold of your mental maturity in a body thats healthy and fit and full of those same hormones that got you in trouble at that age?" Shit, if everyone could mentally overcome hormones like they expect Rudy to, then we'd be living in a utopia. Ok I got a bit side tracked, but yea, the fact that every character has faults of some kind make the story far more enjoyable. a story where people with faults can grow, overcome, mature, and improve is far far better to watch than some story with someone who is already perfect or without fault. Sylphy ending up being a bit of a perv was an unexpected twist when I first read the LN, and it made me question who was trying to lead who on, who was taking advantage of who, etc, etc. Its those little twists that made me want to read and watch more of the series.

I also agree with Lee about those holier than thou people, Rudy is an imperfect individual but I have seen one of those people who constantly complains about him and is virtue signaling so hard it is annoying. However I then remembered something about her and reminded her, "Yes Rudy has made a lot of mistakes, but your son and daughter does not have a father because you were unfaithful to your husband. You let him believe the twins were his and he married you because of them and when 6 years later we found out about you cheating on your husband, he left your ass without a home when he found out they we not his. So you should just stay quite because you spread your legs for so many men you don't even know who the father is."
