Finally catching back up on these. The Kuina thing has always been weird to me. On the one hand men do have biological physical advantages over women but the fantasy setting has always been an odd place to explore that for me because of magic and in one pieces case the devil fruits and the other power system, so it kinda doesn't make sense. Once you mitigate the physical advantages with some type of power system this logic just doesn't fly anymore. Her dad is kind of an asshole for not telling her this. The Zoro part is interesting as well because it comes off as him not being a sexist by telling her those biological advantages are just an excuse she's making but they're not that's just reality (he doesn't know about fruits or powers yet so he isn't looking at it thru the above lens) and i see it not as him not being sexist but him not wanting to diminish his victory if he eventually beat her. He want's to believe he can overcome her with skill to prove his worth as a swordsman and not just physical advantages but physical advantages are as much a part of combat as anything else (it's why we have weight classes) Sorry for the long ass comment but i've been watching one piece for like 15 years so i've had a long time to think about this stuff.

And a lot of the 'extra' for the animated versions allowed for significantly more visible growth, while here it's a bit more muted to allow 'more' to happen in less time.
