2023-07-28 19:15:30 +0000 UTCas sunny mentioned to eun tak, 'why did he have to return knowing he will die. he should have just lived himself.' meaning at least he should have saved his life and lived. whether Kim shin had returned or not, sunny (kin soen) and people related to her would have died anyways as she was the stone in the evil ministers path and wang yoe was foolish and would have further tormented her, thinking she is the enemy. so, I don't think that all of this would have been avoided if Kim shin did not return or didn't walk towards the king and accepted the unfair accusations. the story would have been different but tragic nonetheless. wang yoe would still be the way he was, maybe even much worse. as pointed many times in the show, whenever they talk about goblin's punishment, they reference the blood of his enemies that he killed in war, people who were still god's children, their blood on that sword, their pain, grief and resentment all embedded in his chest for 900 years. and I think, it might have been 900 years since it all happened but the fact that he has been the goblin for that long, consistently losing people he loves, all of this happened because of wang yoe (you would generally be more angry if a person you care about wronged you then someone who doesn't matter to you), it was the king's order ultimately. it was a thing that happened once and then he had an amazing 900 years to get over it. no, the torment has just been building up for 900 years, that long of being in pain one can't just process immediately. one thing I love about the show is that we can't apply human logic and human judgement and understand. they are not doing the things they do for reasons that we would do them. and that opens so many doors to theories and conversations and just philosophical conversations about life.

Another thing is you thought Ji Eun-Tak could die, but Goblin already see her in the future in Canada. PS. In the end Goblins last wish as human was that he would die, but the sword was used to kill the minister. Which in the end was his reward&curse to turn to goblin so he could achieve this now.

I cried the most for the King and Sunny moments personally, but I could feel the scenes way more knowing the emotional weight the role had on them as actors.

It was also the night I discovered thai drama. Love by Chance will always have a spot in my heart cause it took me out of the whole Goblin put me in.

It really is sad that Wang Yeo didn't realize that he had people that truly loved him. Euntak's cry at the end got me man. Seeing a loved one die in front of you is pain. And he literally turned to dust like they said not even a body to hug. The actress did so well showing that level of pain.
