Ichigo built different his shinigami and hollow powers are one and the same. The pill is quite literally a vaccine. The mild hoolowfication of the bankai is just like the mild symptoms you might get from a real life vaccine and will go away with time. Urahara specifically has experience with this kind of thing from saving Masaki with Isshin

2023-07-23 05:52:07 +0000 UTChonestly this was the highlight of the episode for me but they didn't notice. they probably misunderstood shinji power thus confusing his shikai and bankai. they also seem to miss that 9 times out of 10 unless you hear the words bankai then don't assume someone is using it. for us manga readers this made us very happy seeing shinji bankai since this bankai is one of the few that has restrictions preventing the user from using it freely because its broken.

Voll stern dich was used by the Quincy with the letter “J” the Jailer back in hueco Mundo and also by the guy that took out the new captain commanders eye 3. As kisuke stated the hollow power added to everyone with Bankai is a temporary effect and the residual is just so that the Quincy’s can’t take them anymore
