CG found Hosorogi in the basement of said building so Clarrissa probably already knows that Hosprogi is dead. Moreover, her partner asked about it after the cop left, meaning she understands that his ghost might have been found and passed on the info to CG.

There is an anime called Norigami that deals exactly with that idea of a God losing his power cause he doesn't have believers anymore and what they have to go through to survive. Maybe it's a sign you should watch it. 😉
