Thsts another reason live actually casts hot people or atleast makes them look hot on TV to get guys and gals in haha. btw I became a Iron man fan cuz of Robert Downy. Thank you for the insight, I totally agree as my sister and her friends are all about Jujutsu Kaisen and Hunter x Hunter. I think thought action shows and girls don't mix when that is far from true. Look at any mcu property for example. Excitement is great for people of any gender, especially when they love the characters or actors.

I think western girls watch cartoons over anime because the themese match girly interest a bit more and girls in general wanna be women faster than boys wanting to be men. Thinking about the fact that girls talk about wanting to have kids or a family first. That being said they gravitate towards live action content as they seek to become “adults” faster. Thats my observation. With having a daughter and spending a decade as a Youth Instructor. 2nd. I added this as what i think is the most undespituted answer Toonami was straight up for boys the most popular anime in the west capture a males attention. Girls dont even get most exposure to abime in the first place.

This is absolutely what I thought would be the yt demographics for the 'anime romance or cute girl shows'. Yes Kaguya is about romance, but it is still aimed at a male audience. Bocchi is the same. The main people who would watch idol master Bocchi, Lycoris Recoil or other cute girl shows are guys.

So as a guy that pretty much only watches the anime reactions, for me it has nothing to do with anime vs live action. I just don't really care for K-dramas and some of the more YA Netflix shows. I loved watching the Boys and Peaky Blinders with yall. You could run through a very long list of stuff on HBO I'd be all over like Succession, Barry, the Wire, Sopranos, etc. Ted Lasso is airing right now and I'm subbed to a different channel for pretty much only that show atm. I'm sure there are some K-dramas I haven't tried that I would enjoy, but they are such a time commitment.

Wow. I expected the ~80/20 split on anime, but 100% male on konosuba is ridicoulous! HOW THERE WASN'T EVEN 1%?! Girls, come on it's good show give it a try! Some of the live-action stuff being the reverse proportions (majority female) supriced me at first, but after thinking abaut it for a while...this makes sense. I wonder how male/female split looks on rom-com animes. Aslo, I'm sorry if it offends anyone, but I'm really curious how many of "0.4% user-specyfied" really are non-binary, and how many are just guys who made it for the lolz.

I had a blast watching Mob Psycho 100. The 3.5% female viewership really surprised me ☹. I expected like at least 20%. I only watch reactions of series/movies I have already watched or don’t intend to watch on my own. Also Animes that are just sad and depressing / where the focus lays too much on fighting are not interesting to me *lowkey shade on Baki*. I am more into either good storytelling, Sports, Horror, Thriller or just funny Animes/K-drama even if it doesn’t make sense.

i really don't think it's that "girls don't watch anime" so much as which kind of anime you guys usually watch. not saying there's anything wrong with what u guys watch but if you watch anime mostly geared towards a male audience, the people who watch your reactions are gonna be mostly dudes. i'd be interested to see how the demographics for things like tomo-chan or bocchi the rock or kaguya-sama compare to this sample

I remember telling you the first I joined patreon that I did it because you announced on YouTube you had some kdramas already in your library so I was in. Then I stayed for the some of the live action as well,and you guys kept adding great titles examples Sandman, House of the Dragon, Peaky Blinders, The Boyz, You etc the content it’s plenty and not all the same, so kdrama/fandom aside I’m a fan of the three of you.
