MORE CONTENT LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK

Haha. Yesterday I asked this question but people kept talking about the group or “i like the dynamic of you and Director”. A lot of that feedback wasn’t helpful because i was looking for PERSONAL feedback. What do you like or dislike about me as an INDIVIDUAL. With the purpose of using that feedback to improve my Solo content on Yaboyrocklee Show.

I don’t take the members time away from Reactions to do random videos hahah. So I’m working on “me” for that. I still try and make content when I’m just here by myself.

So what do you like or dislike about my personality, am i funny, do i go off on too many tangents, is my takes terrible or good.

I’m taking this feedback to helo figure out the direction of my solo content. I have my own perception of me, I’m curious on which of my thoughts match the general perception or what weakness I’m unaware of or what strength I’m unware of.

Thats what i was looking for haha.

All good. And i thank you

Rock Lee

Wow I'm honored by how much you valued my comment! You even got the books! Best of luck man, I will be rooting from the sidelines as you continue to grow your brand.

Kazuma Sato

Damn, I didnt want to double post, my bad Sorry I'm barely active here, too busy with life/work/catching up with Star Wars lol Lee you are a great guy and really good father figure imho and I as far as I remember, when I subbed here, I told you to not change as a person (I think i said it to Erza too) if not, I'm saying it rite now! But I think I did say it... so yeah Have a good one with your family

“Biggest asset is the team I built “ Thank you

Rock Lee

I know you're looking for feedback specifically for you and in terms of solo content. If I can make a suggestion, would you ever consider revisiting a show or series? Not necessarily a rewatch reaction, but maybe you can do breakdowns of certain moments or events from the series or reaction even that you feel can be worth expanding on. For example, during MHA, you guys often touch on the importance of optics as a means of control. Maybe you can find a specific insance of that convo you might want to expound on. Or maybe giving a new or clarified opinion you gained with time about One Piece or something. Solo content can be difficult to produce in both quantity and quality. And, to be honest, I think your biggest assest is the team you've built! So, if you want to expand past that, then your solo content should be something that focuses on the strengths you're leveraging (humor, healthy debates) without overtaxing yourself.

I respect that request

Kdrama is niche is adored 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Rock Lee

Ah thank you Star 🙌🏽

Rock Lee

I almost forgot… I have been a patreon over a year and even though I’m part of a niche audience u have never made me feel unwelcome and what I love the most you always engage with us in the comment section so we feel we are really having a conversation with you somehow. I know many creators that say in their videos “we read your comments “ but never engage in conversation with anyone ever. I see you interacting with everybody in here and it makes it more real. Good or bad you are not afraid to say your peace. I thank you for that 🙏🙏🙏

LightMyPath Star

I personally enjoy the when you did breakdown for House of the Dragon though I understood why u stopped since at the time your review scheduled was packed. I see that as one of your strengths anyways the ability to read beyond what’s on screen, observing patiently for things to unfold and even most theories and speculations turned out to be correct. I truly enjoy that I was a fan of that content. Now it’s that what you are asking for, feedback wise?

LightMyPath Star

I already gave you a feedback and you deleted the comment bro so keep doing you at this point..still rock with the channel but i wish certain biases weren't so hindering to yall reactions

Mahir Ducale

I agree with points 1 and 4 Lee.

Kazuma Sato

Everyone made lots of good suggestions. Here's my constructive criticism. I put a lot of thought into this because I genuinely like your content and would love to see your channel grow more than other reactors. I also tried to give practical advice instead of just generalities. For reference, I'm a young guy that primarily watches your anime content. Pros: Firstly, I love your care, friendliness, humility, and patience (maybe due to your Christian upbringing?). I can see this when you’re addressing the viewers - even abrasive viewers, and when speaking with Adorkable and Director when you guys have opposing views. These are very likable traits. IMO, only the best reactors have these traits. Mediocre reactors are indifferent to the other people in the room and to their viewers. You’re not, you’re likable and I feel like I’d want you on my team in any given co-op activity. I also really really like when you talk about masculinity and relationships - it’s very relatable and interesting (I think especially for us young dudes who also probably make up a majority of your viewers). I also enjoy when you mention politics. You just happen to have super interesting takes. The degen jokes are legit funny (college girls, toes, etc.). Cons: That being said, I think showing your more mature/serious side would greatly benefit your image. After all, life is serious, and when you take and discuss serious topics in shows seriously, I think it creates stronger and more intimate bonds with a certain subset of your viewers (I'm one of those people who likes serious topics and I suspect there are others like me too). And have more faith/confidence in your stances (others have mentioned this). I also think the self-degrading jokes are made a little too often, or maybe I just notice them too much. To me, I think they’re unnecessary and don't particularly add anything of value to you. I get that they make a person seem more relatable because humans aren't perfect, but at the same time they lowkey can make people lose respect for you. Bigggest Con: As Akaronys said above, I honestly really dont like (want to say hate but dont wanna be rude) when you guys get distracted and talk too much and miss some of the subtitles. It absolutely kills the immersion and you miss important details. I literally find myself watching sometimes saying to myself "please dont interrupt this next scene guys..." only to cringe when you guys end up talking over the important scene... It's better if you guys hold your comments for after and just give 100% attention to the scenes in real time. Biggest Pro: But back to pros, I love how you engage with your viewers - it feels like I’m part of the YBRL Tribe. Humans are innately tribalistic, so fostering a sense of unity is powerful for growing your brand. You being relatable yet cool, respectable, funny, interesting, and providing value to us at the same time engaging with us viewers is an important part of that. I read a short business marketing book recently on that (1 Page Marketing Plan by Allan Dib - I highly suggest this book Lee, It's a business book but I feel like you could implement the lessons there and see lots of success. It’s short too) that went over this concept of “building a tribe of raving fans” and how your customers willingly become evangelists for your brand if they feel they are part of your tribe. After all, I myself have shared your content with my friends without realizing it was because I genuinely loved your content and felt welcomed here. I really think a focus on tribe building/unity is the key to growing your brand. (Another book that covers this is “Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion”, particularly the “Unity” chapter.) I understand that others are saying to stay true to yourself, but at the same time we’re always growing as humans and we should strive to be greater. There's nothing wrong with that.

Kazuma Sato

Things I like: 1. You're very open to feedback. I think this is your biggest forte as I think this has helped you improve over time, without losing your essence as a reactor. 2. You're very analytic and like to come up with theories. Even if they're not right you can tell they're well thought. 3. I like when you link things that happen in a series with real-life events. 4. You're open on what you like and you don't. Eg: I don't expect you to love comedy series, that's what your co-hosts are there for. But also, It's doubly nice to see when a jokes DOES get you. hah I've read the "being distracted" feedback, and I think that's a though one. I get where people are coming from, but at the end of the day you guys are entertainers and putting a show. Most people don't realize it's pretty hard to keep two trains of thought up at the same time (ie talking and watching). I personally don't think it's an issue as I can tell you try to avoid it on important scenes. Anyway, that's from the top of my head.

Pyzlnar

The only thing I think I could pick at is that you could use more editing and cuts on your individual content. I think it’s just the trend though, so it’s not anything wrong with you.

Stazzi

I think you are fine the way you are. The one complaint I would have would be a lack of remembering details but with how much you do it's probably not something that can be fixed. Plus you've gotten better with it as you've started to pay more attention to the content.

King Allen

Yeah I subbed cuz I like how you guys are. No reason to change, imo.

Umbra_Nex

I don't actually like you at all and I've already cancelled my subscription for the 2nd and probably the last time in six months . Here are just some of the reasons I cancelled (1) You never pay much attention and get distracted a lot. (2) You laugh at your own jokes and at things that aren't funny. (3) You obsess over feet and simp for the women . (4) In almost every other reaction you guys talk too much and miss some of what the subtitles say.

Akaronys

Honestly your reactions are the best out there easily, for so many different reasons it would take too long to get into, the only reactors close would be roshi, but good people keep good company after all haha so it makes sense.

CrystalBlu3

Greats- Being devils advocate and offering a different perspective on a character who might be trash or just tragic. Simping I thought it might get on my nerves when I first noticed it but honestly its hilarious to me now that no mater what has just happened or been done I know Lee has the Ladies back even when she pull the trigger. Goods- Tangents and random theories, I hope you find a good balance with the comments section vultures where you can go off theorizing without them "correcting you" or getting irate you forgot [Minor detail]. I cant relate to all the tangents but I enjoy when you go off talking about things because it's like a mini podcast Neutral- I've enjoyed what i've seen of your skits but i mostly watch long form so I can't say much on them but if you wanted to do reviews of like Light novels or manga you read like when ever you finish an arc or something I'd be down to listen to that at work any day lol. Negatives- I wanna see you more confident you're funny and should act like it dammit

Hana keiser

I love this channel. I like watching your content, the discussions, the laugh, your personal take on things. The only critique is maybe a better website.

Jerome

I can say this, when you are in a group, your actions just work. Their fitting, fun and you bounce back off others well. You ask for opinions of you personally then I will have to say that the only one I have watched is solo levelling and it was just bland and seemed to drag on... it might have just been because it was a stream and that you were treating over allot and changing things. You bring life to a group but you don't seem to have the energy on your own or it seems forced.

RSquirrel

I generally find you very pleasing as a person and a reactor, so I watch your content. Nothing really stands out to me that I have to criticize you on. Perhaps some people mistake your enthusiasm for something negative, but I have nothing. Not even trying to make you feel good or boost your ego.

Valk Eir

You are you. Don’t attempt to change that. You’re not a performer. We will like your reactions or we won’t. The point is that we’re seeing YOUR reactions, not a character you make up.

Toasted Toad

Thank you 🙏🏽

Rock Lee

I'm with you on the bad takes, but people usually see it as controversial when they perceive it as illogical or badly argued. Controversy sometimes comes from miscommunication. Nah, the captions are fun. You almost had me with that "You" caption. Was about to murder someone's food.

Brickland

Ahhh. Thanks. Bad takes for me mean illogical or badly argued. Not necessarily controversial. Thats what i mean. I like saying what nobody else is thinking but perhaps can polish up my articulation. Like, the caption for example haha. I wasn’t clear enough.

Rock Lee

I already made sure I liked how you do things before I even started subscribing to patreon, but I guess that's not helpful.

Random Guy

my favorite thing about you are your honest reactions to things that happen in shows and your original takes on them. sometimes though i notice you pull back or stop yourself from really saying what you think or you will say nah nvm im gonna stop right there. i watch yalls faces a lot as well and i notice you really do hold back a lot. let it all out brother dont worry about getting in trouble with the comments. your discord shadow organization will handle that

Kyle

dam and i thought Mt.Lady actually existed

Danny

Please just stick to being yourself. All the good and "bad" are all part of why we watch you. If you had no bad takes at all, then there's not much left to discuss. All you got left is just "Yes, man. I agree with everything." If I wanted to watch someone who's exactly like me, I could just stand in front of a mirror instead of subscribing to a channel. But I'm also from an older generation who don't cancel people for having a "controversial" take or whatever is considered bad. If the younger generations are hurting you, then... I'll pray for you to the Sun.

Brickland

Boy that thang thicc like wow I got too distracted by the pic 👀👀👀👀👀 Now, as far as the topic... Pros: awareness, thoughtfulness, sharp witted, dark humor, dry humor, creative, big brain, friendly, patient, transparent Cons: hyper aware and thus you tend to hold back when you really should drive the point in more. self shame 😤 don't do that! As a fellow Leo 🦁 do not be embarrassed of yourself! Be confident! :) You overthink and second-guess and doubt yourself A LOT. Like it's a whole level of trying too hard to be neutral but you're not~ stop filtering yourself! I personally find your social parallels and analytics to be very accurate and fitting because that's what art and media is, a reflection of reality. I really felt the need to go into detail because they're not "cons" but moreso things you could work on~ I think you're a very talented and creative person with a lot of interests.

Mochi

Honestly i like the way you let everyone just being themselves. I personally like your way to react (except when you start talking japanese like when you say "soooookaaa" i find it disturbing haha xD) but more than what you do in camera, i noticed that the past weeks you were a little passive-aggresive in your responses with the community, maybe its just me i dont know, but what can i tell you is that your community knows how much you interact with your audience (compared with other big reactors that had almost zero interaction), but if you feel pressured/annoyed/anxious about anything, it's ok to not interact with us every day, just take a breath my man and try to relax and come back to reply when everything is ok.

Radamanthys Wyvern

Lmao. Yeah. It’s a blimp ha

Rock Lee

🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Rock Lee

.......THIIIIIIIICCCCC

Daniel Borrego

Honestly you do you Lee that's what I enjoy most. Even if you have a bad take that gets dogged on by the community you stand your ground and explain your reasoning.

jacob

When I saw the pic Al I saw first was a bum of a giant mecha lady

OneAnk

Honestly I think there really isnt anything you need to change. You have a great personally, arent shy about enjoying the "plot" lol, casual and personable, you are self aware of things when you and nasty might go a bit to far, you know what you like about a series and you dive into the detail of a show extremely well taking the time to enjoy the series not only from an entertainment stand point but also taking other points into consideration, and there are so many other good pros. For cons honestly i think you worry to much man, we are here for you no matter what, just be you thats all you really need to do.

SharkMessiah101

Having a hard getting specific. My worry about this whole thing is it might create more artificial reactions. There will naturally be a bit a artificial reactions just simply because your on camera and want to be entertaining. I think something to work on would be self doubt, sometimes your to afraid to speak up of things like theories.

Peacefinder Simply

Pros: not shy about being a bit freaky, casual, personal, self aware, direct, considerate, comedy mindset. Cons: over analytical, self doubt, worry I had to stop the pro list from getting too long, and it took a while to come up with three cons.

Jesse Gallimore

Lmao😭. Pretty sure that’s a blimp.

Destiney Marie

😂😂😂. Got your attention hahah. Dont ask why i have this 😭😭😭

Rock Lee

LOL ima need to know what that pic is. research purposes only ofc
