I would argue that she could not let go of her hate. Of course this was born out of her love, but she was so blinded by revenge that she doomed all of those who trusted in her leadership. She can say the "factually correct" thing all day, but she was still delusional and obviously mismanaging the entire resistance movement after they overthrew FEDRA.

So Leukemia is definitely not contagious, just to clear that up. There is currently no known form of cancer that is contagious. And thank the gods for that cause if cancer were contagious, that'd end the human race just as quick as a zombie virus.

Lol. I like her cuz she’s unapologetically awful. She looks like a soccer mom. Lol. We call her Karen because she doesn’t look scary at all but will see you and give you a hard time cuz she’s bored lol. I know Kathleens so it was funny to see her. The true “scary” one is her right hand man. So it was just fun to see the Soccer mom in charge and push a lot of jokes. She’s terrible though lol. I often find terrible people entertaining though.

The after credits stuff from HBO isn't spoilery(talking about the actors, not the preview for next week.) It's actually very, very interesting and shows the creator and writers, actors etc how they went about the episode you just saw and what it means for the characters(Ellie, Joel, etc) I've seen reactors react to it and it's not spoilers for future, just commentating on the episode just watched. For example, the actor who played Sam is deaf IRL and there's a whole segment on him and how the show went about it(the game is slightly different in that Sam isn't deaf.) The writers of the show have adapted this material brilliantly, the best ever for a video game and it isn't close

As for Kathleen, she was out for vengeance. She was blinded by it. Even though she spoke truth on a lot of things she was also a lost, angry person who will eventually get everyone she 'led' killed. You could see that in episode 4 when her only priority was Henry(not even the gigantic hole in the ground with obviously infected or something dangerous there.) She deserves the worst of the worst

Most people don't know this(at least those who haven't been or lived in Kansas or Missouri) but there's a Kansas City Missouri & a Kansas City Kansas. It borders the state line. The Kansas City in this show is Missouri(which is the bigger side of Kansas City - also where the Kansas City Chiefs football team is from.) People from here get so angry when people say Kansas after hearing Kansas City. I found out when I moved here 20 years ago lol

LOL at the opening conversation: I'm with you, Lee (totally with Adorkable too, everyone has their own path to make!) But I had my kids fairly early (at 22 and 26) and I'm in my late 30s now and already thinking about that early empty nest. My oldest is graduating high school in two years and my youngest is in middle school, the baby/toddler years were fun, but I'm glad all that physical activity is behind me. 🤣

Ellie has been disillusioned at the end of the episode. The “I’m Sorry” was because her blood didn’t cure him. Not because she fell asleep. When she smeared her blood on the wound, she fully expected he’d be miraculously healed I think. That’s why she had no caution approaching Sam. This is a big moment for Ellie. Her loss of faith in that moment is huge.

Kathleen is a good antagonist because everything she said was right. Hell, even the part about kids dying. However, she knew what she was doing was wrong and was willing to commit horrible acts out of love for her brother. Love really does make you crazy.
