Yeah, in the og campaign it's a homebrew item that uses the "returning" enchantment called the "Blink Back Belt", but it's functionally the same thing ^_^

2023-02-12 06:39:27 +0000 UTCThis is one of the most beloved fights in Critical Role history and they absolutely nailed it here. That final move with Vex letting Grog out of the Necklace happened. And what's crazier is Grog had ONE HP LEFT! Vex put him in the Necklace to protect him, but the battle was going poorly. Finally Travis(Grog) convinced Laura(Vex) to let him out of the Necklace for one more attack. He used a reckless attack, a barbarian skill that allows him to roll twice and take the higher of the two. He rolled a natural 1, the lowest you can roll AND a natural 20, the highest you can roll and a crit. Grog did enough damage to kill Kevdak and earned a "How do you wanna do this?", a chance to put any narrative spin on how you finish off the creature. He then described descending from the heavens, screaming "FOR STRONGJAW!!!" and splitting Kevak in 2. SUCH a legendary moment done with such care!
