This episode is probably the first episode of this season when I was able to relax a little, because in the other episodes so far I felt so much despair, sadness and other negative feelings.

I'm happy the anime-onlys weren't subjected to Haschwalth saying "It seems Kuchiki Byakuya has died" during that invasion which was cut in the anime. Ongoing manga readers suffered man.

In case you guys forgot, Byakuya reacted negatively when he heard Ganju and Shukaku's(the chick that's related to Ichigo) last name/clan name. This was when he shred Ganju to pieces during the Soul Society rescue arc.

It was cut from the anime but Renji getting his bankai slapped around actually left it permanently damaged. It's missing links from when he used it on Byakuya. Same with Ikkaku's. Now idk why this was cut out completely regarding those 2.

Not sure if anyone else mentioned it, but the anime cut a small thing about Kirinji's hot spring. If you remember all the way back in Soul Society arc, Urahara actually had a healing hot spring as well. Here the manga says that Urahara made his hot spring after analyzing the water from Kirinji's.

Great reaction and discussion as always. I found this the most weirdly paced episode of this part but one that is necessary as just a short opportunity to give some important information and context for the rest of the arc to come. Next one is great.

I just looked it up and the girl that launches the cannon calling ichigo's dad "uncle" is meant literally. That makes her and Ichigo cousins!

I think you missing the point what happens to a human when he/she dies. They turn to either hollow or their soul goes to soul society. That should explain enough about the fullbringer group. BUT are they souls there or are they acually alive just living in soul society? Who knows :D

I'm so glad Byakuya is still alive I didn't want him to get killed off cuz clearly he my favorite character but had he died it would've been a pretty sad death. I felt you guys pain seeing you tear up last episode Ganju looks cool af. Felt good to see him and Kukaku again. Glad you guys were connecting the dots during that whole scene with Ichigo's dad. The Fullbringers that died were still human when they passed. So rn they are souls because they died and went to Soul Society. So it was probably hella awkward when Ichigo demanded Ginjo's body back when his soul probably just got to Soul Society lol

lol.. personally for I would have made the show less interesting removing my favorite character. I stopped watching Walking Dead when they took out my character...but i get it. My investment in shows are tied to characters more than the story many times, so i watch for them

Now that you know he's alive, I gotta say, they should have killed off Byakuya there. And I say that with him as my favorite character in the series. It was such a great moment for him. To plead with someone he once thought of as an enemy. Someone who "trampled on soul society's honor" to fight and save it. And it would have made Renji & Rukia more interesting and forced them to step up and take charge with their superior gone.
