Since the war started only Kenpachi Zaraki, Yamamoto-Genryūsai and Ichigo managed to fight the Quincy, this proves that the other captains and lieutenants rely too much on their Bankai, they should have trained to be stronger in general not just to use bankai, everyone should have followed the example of Head Captain, Yamamoto proved that you can be strong even if you are missing a hand, and if you don't use bankai. Maybe Yamamoto is an exception, but all soul reapers should consider him as an example and try to become like him.
