Lilith - Health Update and Recovery

Hi everyone! You may have noticed I've been a little quiet here following the New Hope early access update. If you've been keeping up to date in Discord or on X, you'll already know why. If you haven't - it's because my eight-month-old pup Lilith has had some serious health issues that we've been dealing with.

I want to say thank you for all the support so far. I've even had people ask if they can contribute to vet bills. Thankfully, Lilith has full health insurance, so it's all covered by that. To be fully transparent, it was very touch-and-go with her. She had a very serious infection, which resulted in her being unable to move more than a few steps at a time. The vets diagnosed her with Pyometra, which is a serious and potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus that causes it to fill with bacteria and puss. If left untreated, the uterus would rupture, and she would go into septic shock.

Thankfully, I caught it early enough, and we were able to prevent it from developing further. The only way to get rid of a Pyometra is to remove the womb and uterus entirely. So, she had an Ovariohysterectomy last week and has been recovering from that operation since then.

We had a check-up on Monday, which went well. The scar tissue is healing nicely, and there don't seem to be any signs of infection. We're going back for a final check-up on Friday, and hopefully, she'll be discharged.

I won't be working on anything until her final check-up just because she needs round-the-clock supervision. Most of this month's content will end up being posted in the second half of the month - so please just be a little more patient while we take the time to heal <3
