I'll spare the sob story but I'm going through a period of grief now and this show definitely puts things into perspective. Although honestly if I'm in the Anger stage this isn't the show cuz I get so mad at how much time Frieren has and how unfair and little we humans have lol. But that just highlights how precious the time you have with people is. It's very bittersweet. I still dont know how to live without them and its still hard imagining life continuing on like they didn't exist. But at least they exist in my memories.

I think he sees how Voll is bound, burden, and isolated by his promise; it might be the exact moment Himmel decides to not explicitly express his love for frieren as he doesn't want her to suffer in the same way. Loved the reaction and analysis as always!

Would be very interested in hearing what you have to say about Laios which is not considered a very (neuro)typical protagonist. It is also considered to be part of the "big three fantasy mangas" together with "Frieren" and "Witch hat atelier". Coincidentally, someone already mentioned "Witch hat atelier" as a manga recommendation, but I will post the link to the trailer of the anime adaptation again just because I'm very excited about it and would like to share it with people that may have missed that post: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMmBSCQs1H4 Regarding other shows that feel like "Frieren" I can't waste an opportunity to recommend "Violet Evergarden" again.
