Thanks for the feedback! And, of course, for the understanding- it is on some level simply the nature of this story to be a bit of a slow burn, but I hope some of the hints laid out in chapter 1 and 2 give you some faith that we'll be getting to The Weird Shit in time. There will be far less time spent on pure exposition after chapter 2 as we've sort of gotten through what needed establishing. But, no promises on the navel gazing going anywhere ;) These boys just have SO many feelings...

2025-05-15 21:15:34 +0000 UTCPretty good build, though it feels like a slight step down from the first build in regard to building up tension. I think my biggest qualm with this one is it felt like a majority of exposit dumping, between the diner scene (with the choice to exposit about all your friends), the hospital scene, and a bit more navel gazing than expected, I was a bit let down. There doesn’t seem to be a goal for the characters or plot hook yet to push the story further, but I also know it’s still very early in the story. That being said, I’m still entranced by the setting and the characters in general. The art was amazing as usual! The music direction was much better this time around. The prose also continues to be great too. I’ll continue on reading what is probably my favorite new FVN to come out this year!
