Sadly no go-fish subgames planned :) As for the shared characters, I wish it was as simple as saving money on assets; but it's more that I loved the characters. Across Morningstar and Love of Magic there are 100+ unique characters (80+ in LoM, 20+ so far in Morningstar) and 6 shared ones. Once you have a decent base library, cooking up a new character's work, but it's not *hard* work (it's quite fun, in fact.. kinda like creating a new character in BG3, just with a lot more sliders). But it does let me revisit the first days of the romance between Emily and MC, and it lets me finally give Katie the justice she deserves. It's also multi-path, so you'll have to chose which girl you'll end up with.

2024-02-08 16:42:42 +0000 UTCThe observation that successful games need flavors that are popular together is interesting. That adding a popular flavor could actually reduce player interest if it "clashes" with the other flavors. I've definitely played games where I was really into some of the flavors but found others intrusive. Sometimes to the point of ruining the game for me. I'm sure to a certain extend that is inevitable because everyone has their own idiosyncratic set of preferences. But it makes sense that there are some combinations are much more popular than others. I'd love to hear further discussion about which combos tend to work best.
