2025-03-23 23:17:55 +0000 UTCa lot of ppl in the comments are making very good points. first watch, my initial reaction was the same as your guys’, but truthfully that’s because i love gemma and want her and mark scout to have their happy ending. on the flip side, i realize this is the innie’s life. it’s all they have. y’all understand that, but can’t see why he’d choose to stay ? we — nor the people in the show — even know the full extent of reintegration. mark (scout) didn’t care much about the innie’s life until it started affecting him on the outside. can’t blame his innie for choosing himself. although, i do still think it’s incredibly selfish because in the context of the show he could really be physically killed in there. thus, there would be no mark period. then again, both marks displayed selfish behavior this ep. so, who can you really be mad at. 🤷🏽♀️ also, it’s apparently been confirmed that that’s not helly’s outie at the end.

He should have taken Helly’s hand outside of Gemma’s view. No need to do that sort of emotional damage to her. Also, the fact that he threatened Outie Mark via his wife’s life. Also, innie mark is already being reintegrated. So he may as well work with Outie Mark, otherwise he will have some pretty weird and messed self hat situation when he becomes one.

Even the concept of severance is screwed up. But now innie Mark is ALIVE. Some of the guys are upset at innie Mark wanting to stay alive? That's like saying to anyone "Your life sucks, go ahead and die." LOL What?! That's wild. In this whole mess, I blame outie Mark for agreeing to severance in the fist place. Severance is the best example of thought-provoking, innovative sci-fi.

You guys are mad at Mark S but that’s the whole point is they are fighting for the only life they have and y’all got the audacity to get upset he made that decision. Helly R says in the episode “They give us half a life and expect us not to fight for it.” Mark S is fighting for “His” life and sure it’s in the confines of this building but wouldn’t you fight for your life as well no matter how small someone else thinks it is?
