Once you find out what the other items actually do you will see that they can't really be used to win a duel. On top of that he created duel monsters so once he sees your hand he's going to know exactly what your strategy is.

2025-02-17 23:36:26 +0000 UTCall of the millennium items have different powers that are unique to them, the puzzle's just happens to be luck based. The more "desperate" the situation is, the more power Yugi is able to draw out of it. Its why u see him several times in the series able to just place a card down without looking at it, and still know exactly what that card is. edit: In the Yugioh manga it makes it more clear that Yugi is using that power. One of the powers of the puzzle allows him to "destiny draw" whatever card he needs to win a duel
