Milchik said they were famous on the surface for what they had done but we saw Helena recording a cover story about being drunk. They just covered it all up, there was no fame or anything like that. All that stuff about severance reform was a lie to make them wanna stay. The newspaper that Milchik showed of them being celebrated for their actions was fake. If you pause the screen when the newspaper comes up and you can tell its fake. The picture they used in the newspaper was their office photo they took in episode 1 2. He told him it had been 5mos. That was a lie. In this episode he told Helena that after their overtime stunt, he only had 48hrs to pull together a new team for Mark S and when Mark W was fired and we saw him yelling outside Lumon, he said he had only done 3dys of work. So there were only 2dys between the end of season 1 and Marks return to the office. He lied about 5mos and i think the purpose is cuz he doesnt want Mark to know how important he is. If he had told him they brought him back immediately, Mark would be like "after what we did?? Why would you let me back so soon after we tried to expose yall?" Plus it also gives Mark the impression that their whistle blowing was successful. Like it makes him think his outtie quit for 5mos and only came back after they implemented reform. It helps to cement the lie that their actions actually made a difference Milchik is almost always lying

The name Persephone is a bit of an easter egg cuz in Greek mythology Persephone was tricked by Hades and forced to spend half her life in the underworld and half her life on Earth. That is essentially what Severance is so Persephone could apply to any severed person but also it could apply to his wife Gemma who we know is down on the testing floor, basically "hell" and only came up on to the severed floor a few times

2025-01-26 17:36:43 +0000 UTCSo glad one of yall finally picked up on the facy Helly isnt Helly, its her outtie Helena. They dropped several clues in the first episode: 1. "Helly" was the first one to point out the cameras in their office were gone after Mark said they shouldn't talk cuz they might be being recorded, as if to encourage them to talk 2. In the breakroom after Milchik told them to talk amongst themselves and not to worry cuz there were no cameras, Mark was hesitant to speak and Helly said "Milchik said there are no cameras". Since when does Helly believe anything Milchik or Lumon says? She didnt believe any of their bullshit last season, why would she suddenly instantly believe Milchik? 3. When they got back to their desks you can see Helly stuggling to find the power button to turn the computer on 4. When she was talking to Mark in the hallway and she said "we're not the same, the innies and outties are not the same". Helly doesnt believe that, Helena does. Remember Helena sent Helly a whole video saying "im a person and you're not so fuck you". Helena does not see the innies as real people, she sees them as inferior. Thats why Mark looked at her weird when she said "we're not the same" and when she noticed his look she tried to clean it up and make it not sound as bad. 5. As you guys pointed out, they dont need cameras and tape recorders anymore because they have Helena as a mole That is 100% not Helly. Even tho she got in the elevator, they couldve just turned her chip off so she wouldn't be affected by the elevator.
