But does this author not straight up write about a man retaining his awareness of his past self as a grown adult, going onto have sexual relations with literal children? Rob somebody that lives in the house as a shut in at 30 is not more experienced. There is a difference between just living in the home and being a shut in those things are completely different. Rudeus didn't go outside anymore since he was 14 hell he wasn't even leaving his room or talking to his family. Living in the house and being a room shut in are different. As for rudeus reincarnation it is clear that his reincarnation effects him to some degree. The story mentions rudeus body learns faster he has a child young brain. So that is also a thing plays part rudeus has a young brain. and there are some other signs it does

The anime left out a lot of context regarding the situation with Roxy. In the novel, it was Elinalise who suggested to Roxy that Rudy sleep with someone, and actually lied to Rudy about Roxy being pregnant after. After Paul died Rudy had lost the will to live, and had starved himself for over a week. Nothing else was working, so Roxy, knowing how Rudy shuts himself off from the world when he's depressed, did the only thing left she thought could help rather than let him suffer.

Oh yeah, add in the lack of portrayal of the mental states and perspective of the characters involved(essentially pauls party, roxy, sylphie, rudy, etc all needed more pov). It's one of the struggles with adapting such a detailed and nuanced story as MT. It's really easy to drop something seeming insignificant that can affect viewership's pov in the long run.

I think the anime does a bad job delivering themes of the world Rudeus is in. So the viewers were surprised when that sort of thing is supposed to be normal because of how extreme gender norms were in that era.

The anime cut a lot of context to this out, it would take a brick to explain. but to be fair, they did include a bit where sylphie was thinking of how many additional wives she would let rudy have. So she did expect this shit. It's still a mess of a situation, just makes more sense. I'm back and forth on the multiple wives, but it is solid for the plot imo at the end of the day.

For some reason the anime took it out, but in the manga Elinalise was the one that encouraged Roxy to cheer Rudy up in them sheets😂😂 even though it was obvious Roxy wanted some to begin with👀
