Added 2024-10-03 14:24:24 +0000 UTCGET THIS TO 40 LIKES IF YOU LIKED THIS SEASON FINALE! We finally have a dinner service and things were going good till Carmy got trapped in the walk-in fridge. Did Carmy have an excuse to get mad at Richie?

2024-12-03 02:38:49 +0000 UTCAlso keep in mind Carmy had been doing a bunch of little changes to the menu all last two episodes, AND THEY STILL CLUTCHED UP. didn’t call the guy to get the fridge fixed and got HIMSELF locked up.

2024-12-03 02:18:04 +0000 UTCand the the reason why richie was at fault is bc of his approach and calling carmy "Donna"

2024-10-04 15:45:12 +0000 UTCI think it was closer to four hours - the clock in the background read 7:18 when Richie took over expo a few minutes after Carm got locked in the fridge, and the time on Marcus' phone reads 10:55 when he's putting up the "Every Second Counts" sign that Luca sent him, and Carmen's still stuck in there when that happened. That's at least 3 hours and 37 minutes, but he had already been stuck in there for a few minutes when Richie started running the expo station, and I'm guessing it was probably another 20-30 minutes after Marcus hung the sign that the fridge guy cut him out.

2024-10-04 02:45:43 +0000 UTCAlso, it's not a freezer, it's a refrigerator. That might seem trivial, but there's a huge difference between being stuck in a room that is 35° for a few hours and being stuck in a room that is -10° for a few hours. Being stuck in a cooler for a few hours would really suck and you would get really cold, but you'll probably be fine. If Carmen had gotten stuck in a freezer for more than three hours, there's a pretty good chance he would have died. He would have definitely suffered from severe hypothermia requiring emergency medical treatment.

2024-10-04 02:29:25 +0000 UTCThe chocolate banana thing was a callback to the "Fishes" episode... when they were all sitting down getting ready for dinner, Uncle Jimmy told Tiff (Richie's ex-wife) a story about passing a concession stand on his way to the Berzatto house where his dad used to take him to get chocolate covered bananas when he was a kid, and how he remembered the smell of the place and the smell of his dad's cologne and it made him miss his dad (presumably he's passed away). Anyway, Richie obviously overheard the conversation and wanted to do something thoughtful for Jimmy, which is why he had Gary bring him a chocolate banana. Keep in mind, Jimmy told that story almost five years ago (the Christmas episode took place 256 weeks before the restaurant opening), and for Richie to still remember it five years later showed tremendous thoughtfulness, which is why Uncle Jimmy got a little choked up in the moment. Also, Uncle Jimmy wasn't telling Carmy he should break up with Claire... he actually said the opposite. He said he's never been so happy to hear anything in his life (he knows Carmen has had a really rough year with his brother's suicide and he thinks it's good for him to have a girlfriend), he was just warning him to not let the relationship get too distracting for him to run the restaurant.

2024-10-04 02:18:56 +0000 UTCI just wanna say every walk in I've ever been in has a failsafe that unscrews the whole ass lock from the inside to make it impossible for someone to actually get trapped inside, it even glows in the dark sometimes, worked in the food industry over a decade

2024-10-04 02:13:22 +0000 UTCI did not feel bad at all for Carmy in this episode and especially when he got stuck in the walk-in…he’s been unfocused all season and that’s not anybody’s fault but his. He needs to find better ways to deal with his grief, anxiety, and his stress because until he does he will always be a loose cannon.

2024-10-03 22:47:07 +0000 UTCI think something people don’t realize is Carmy is not the greatest person to work with in the kitchen. He’s is supposed to be the head over all of these chefs and servers operating in his restaurant and one of his main responsibilities is to keep a level head when the going gets rough so that he can maintain the peace of his kitchen and restaurant and manage all of these people accordingly, but he fails every time. When things get stressful and he gets anxious in the kitchen he loses his cool every time, creates a toxic work environment, yelling at everyone and being disrespectful. It’s the same reason that Syd quit in season one, but he never takes accountability and it’s always Syd who has to humble him cause he won’t listen to anyone else. He’s not the best partner to have in this business

2024-10-03 19:42:50 +0000 UTCRob is taking the fact he’s in a freezer too literally. The writers did not put him in the freezer to make him trip cause he’s literally cold, its a metaphor dude. Rob be looking at this shit way too literally

2024-10-03 19:04:08 +0000 UTCIt depends on what we're talking about here, morality or reality. Is it right that Carmy has been dropping the ball in so many ways and snapping on people said all that stuff to Richie? No. But is it realistic and understandable? Hell yeah. Jerry& Rob were spittin in the end discussion

2024-10-03 17:18:06 +0000 UTCCarmy was locked in there for at least an hour maybe two. When Richie takes over for SYD he mentions that they have two hours left

2024-10-03 16:57:16 +0000 UTCJust to let yall know they called the freezer guy as soon as Carm got locked in there. But it’s smack in the middle of a dinner rush and the freezer guy probably had his own shit going on too so it was gonna take a minute. Carmy in a room alone with his thoughts could be harmful but it could also be therapeutic if Carmy actually allows it to be. In my opinion him being in there wasn’t life or death and the rest of them still all had a business to run, also the fact that the freezer being still broken is Carmys fault made me not care all that much that he was stuck. Syd told him countless times to call the freezer guy and he never did, so if anyone is getting locked in that bitch it should be him. No ones saying Carmy can’t have a personal life, but for someone like him trying to start a brand new relationship while simultaneously trying to open a brand new restaurant is so stupid, the timing of that is abysmal. He should have known better honestly, and I don’t think Claire helps him, honestly she makes him worse because she is also a source of anxiety for him. He flips out and has panic attacks just thinking about her, in all honesty they shouldn’t be together, and Claire herself is just boring and has no substance and their scenes were the worst part of this season for me.
