Stormfront got basically one shotted by a bloodlusted Ryan and Marie being that much tankier than her would just be bad writing. So that must mean he was holding back, but then if he's holding back enough that he wouldn't hurt her, yet a knife could still pierce her skin, then Andre's line is just complete nonsense.

Homelander can obviously determine the strength of his laser but I find it hard to believe he can make it weaker than a knife. Andre's line also made no sense if that was the case.
