The Amazing Spiderman 2

Watch our heated debate the movie caused and let us know where you stand.

Jerry was such a hater in this reaction

DW

I am sorry Pat but you will have to take the L on this one. But yeah it is both their faults. Gwen is more at fault thoguh

Amadou Jallow

Gwen was always going to die. It didn’t happen in every comic rendition but it did in most.

BlueEyes1991

Yea i def think gwen put herself in that situation after the cop car part, i think peter could've maybe handled it but idk

Myles Xavier

They talked about what he went through in the No way home movie he said he become darker and bitter after Gwen’s death

Paweeze33

I actually fuck with electro appearance in this he’s been blue in a few things like spider man shattered dimensions which y’all should play, and a few comics

Thomas Dehne

Gwen is aware that she would be put in these situations ever since she got involved with Spiderman. However, she chose him anyway because she loves him. If she wasn't there, Peter would've been the one to die. They both chose each other. Both are a little at fault, but ultimately it wasn't one person's fault over the other. Overall, I think Pat is in the wrong because Gwen was going to find herself in that situation regardless. It wasn't going to be prevented. Gwen was simply destined to die.

Kelly Melvin

he kinda right though

Kelly Melvin

Pat is stupid. Gwen would’ve made the conscious decision to go to the power plant regardless. She made that decision. City lockdown didn’t matter to her anyway

Josh Guardado

this movie still hits hard for me. i didnt read the comics so i had no idea of gwen even dying and i accidentally read a spoiler of her dying in thsi movie so cool but overall great movie.

getmywigsss

You're bugging if you really believe either of these movies would be better than anything Marvel have done in the last 3-4 years. GOTG vol 3 dropped this year and that alone blows this entire franchise out of the water. Time period had nothing to do with it - that wouldn't explain it being a critical failure too

Jermaine Johnstone

This electro and the movies in general were based of the designs from the Ultimate Spider-man comics.

Story's 2tell

Age of Ultron was 2015, not 2014:

I agree. It’s funny because I remember initially disliking it back when it first released and I stuck to that bias until I rewatched with RTTV. Sure it’s not perfect but Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man was a lot better then I remember. Wish they implemented more of what they did with him with Tom Hollands iteration.

i think a lot of the hate this movie received was just because of the time period. this movie had to compete with Winter Soldier, avengers age of ultron, guardians of the galaxy. but if they released these two movies today, itd be better than any marvel movie we got in the past 3-4 years

jGuse

Honestly think there was some great elements to this movie, but as a whole it is easily the worst spider-man movie. The villains were really bad and there was just a lot of small dumb moments as well as the end fights being kinda weak. It’s a watchable movie for me for sure tho cause it’s spider man but not a good movie at all imo

TDR_216

For whatever reason Marvel comics like to fuck with Peter/spiderman life. In the new comics they got him looking like a straight cuck lord. They do not give my man a break.

This movie is a Top 3 Spider-Man Movie for me ngl

KiRissa

I disagree. I feel like as long as she’s in a relationship with Spider-Man, she’s always going to put herself in harms way for his sake. He should’ve just let her leave instead of being indecisive about it. In that situation, yeah it was her fault, but she’ll be constantly put in those scenarios the longer she stays with Peter and he knows that.

Wolf

To answer the debate at the end, I ultimately agree with Pat and Wellz in that it was both of their fault but in the grand scheme of things, it leans more on Peter. Once Gwen said she was catching the flight to England, Peter should’ve left her alone if he wanted to keep her safe. Even if his intention was to leave with her, he (even though he had good intentions) dragged her back into his world which ultimately led to the situation that ended in Gwen’s death. To Rob and Jerry’s point, sure, she might’ve went anyway and let’s say she gets lucky and survives. Cool, now what about when the next villain attacks ? Or the one after that ? Just like Rob said, she’s like her dad in where she’ll leap into action to help if she can but with Peter actively in her life, the threat is always going to be on another level where she’s concerned. Peter was never going to be able to protect her forever and should’ve just let her go. His choice to confess his feelings for her when he did just brought her back into the crossfire, leading into a scenario where she died trying to help him, even if she did save the day. Long story short, it was both of their faults but Peter made the bigger choice by not letting her go when he had the chance.

Wolf

Thank you 🥺❤️❤️❤️

I like these movies, they have their issues but they're still enjoyable and I really like the story line and the darker take. Of all the things y'all could've argued about at the end I never would've thought it would be about that lolol I definitely agree with Rob and Jerry though. That's not on Peter. If I tell you to stay yo ass here and be safe and you run your ass into danger that's on you. That's like saying if a police officer is in an active shooting situation and his wife runs up on the scene talkin bout "Let me help!" and she gets bodied, then it's his fault... nahh tf were you thinking?

A. P.

If you don’t like it, feel free to edit my previous comment bro

Wolf

Didn’t mind the goblin tbh felt like they did it so they can introduce the sinister 6 next movie since they clearly teased hella shit in the “special projects” also Dane deehan goblin actor is fire he got a movie with Michael b Jordan called chronicle y’all would fw HEAVY

Brandon Cruz

I think that’s what they were going for with Norman Osborn too, I think he could’ve been the giant monster version of the goblin in the ultimate comics

DW

Coming Soooon!

RT TV

Empathy and rttv don’t mix bro 😂

DW

Nah Evan be talkin out his ass 🤣🤣

Brandon Cruz

If I was in high school maybe it would be a hard decision to make

Hasani Wilmer

ultimate Spider-Man comics/ a universe where Miles Morales came from/originated , has electro looking exactly like that also the look of the costume is inspired from the ultimate comics, but this movie def cool asf, def needed a third to really develop this peter and his story lines as well as the other characters, and had by far the best swinging shots from any spider man movie as well as characteristics

Reginald Alston

bro pat's face at the end of the argument hahahhaa bro looked so irritated

Philbo

My favorite suit is Tom Holland's suit by the end of Far From Home, second is Tobey's suit just because it has a simple and clean look to it, and even though Andrew's suit is my least favorite I like his spider insignia the best.

Devin B

Great movie minus the villains, man that conversation got heated at the end 😂

Herber

The same way I feel about this movie is the same way I feel about Spiderman 3, they tried to incorporate to many things into one movie. If they just focused on Electro then I would rate this more but there really was no reason to add Green Goblin into the mix. I would say having multiple main villains in a movie works if you have multiple main heroes like in No Way Home.

Devin B

Andrew Garfield in Under the Silver Lake is the 3rd movie in this series when he's out of work as Spider-Man living in a shitty apartment in Los Angeles. unofficially

Monkey D. Lucci

Yea I consider this movie a flop but not because it's truly awful. It could have been really good and the setup and plot was fine but trying to throw Harry/Goblin in there was NOT the right choice. I do feel like they should have stayed with just one villain for this movie. Also Andrew to me IS the best Spider-Man out of the three. I just always felt like he captured the nature of Peter/Spider-Man better than the other 2 even if his movies were considerably worse. Plus he's hands down the best actor of the 3. It amazed me how when they all came together in FFH, he really outshined them when it came to acting. I also feel like He and Emma (Gwen) had the best natural chemistry, which makes sense knowing that they dated while filming, and they were the best written couple. Don't get me wrong I love Tom/Zendaya as well, but their story to me was rushed and most of their chemistry is shown in their actual lives versus the screen, if that makes sense. I HATED Peter/MJ in Tobey's movies. Also to Rob's point about them making fun of him not saving Gwen in FFH by having him save Z's MJ, that wasn't them making fun, it was them allowing Andrew's Peter to deal with the trauma of how he lost her. You could see it in the scene as soon as he lands on the ground with MJ it's like a weight gets lifted off his shoulders and it brings him to tears and even MJ realizes it, it's possibly the best moment in that whole movie because of the emotion.

Nigga just say “ not everyone thinks that” stop phrasing it like a smart ass

DW

Imagine claiming that everybody has that exact same opinion lol

Wolf

Pat be going “mmmm” to some of the most random shit😭😂

Darrin Davenport

Jerry is hating hard like this isn’t universally known as the best spider suit ( unless you have 90s kid nostalgia bias) nigga was just tryna be funny 😂

DW

I must be a contrarian because I like blue Electro, I felt like he was just a guy in the mcu movie rather than like this force

_ FlusterCluck

I don’t like this suit either but Jerry buggin by saying it looks like a cosplay 😂

Static

yo i'm sorry but sometimes I legit think some of y'all are seriously stupid. How can y'all see Peters situation with Gwen and say "Just choose bro!" like its an easy decision, especially Rob bruh I did not expect his "WILLPOWER" archetype ass to say Peter should stop being Spider Man if this bothers him so much. Such a dumb ass take. Y'all seriously can't understand the finer line in these social situations, Peter is clearly in love but doesn't want Gwen to get hurt in the process of his endeavors, but he also can't give up the idea of being Spiderman because of the responsibility it comes with by being the protector of the city. Either be a hero, or be with the one you love, and for ANYONE during those moments to sit there and think that it was as easy a decision as y'all made it to be was so beyond retarded and aggravating I had to say it in the comments, cause it lacks consideration and empathy for Peter and his situation, as if choosing one is a much more clearer option than the other. Literally QUITE LITERALLY just for a second, stop, and put yourself in his shoes. Like REALLY think about it. There ya go you practiced basic empathy, see how hard the decision was? Jesus fucking christ yall are literally dumb as fuck sometimes.

Aidan

Still the best Spider-Man movie . Best female lead by far while Toby midguire is the worst One by far

🤡

This movie has a lot of problems, but it easily has the best effects and web slinging. Also Max as Electro might be the first villain I ever felt bad for.

Conflictor

You can say… she really fell for him!

ChaarMand3r

Yees! I love this movie! Guys react to Captain America The Winter Soldier pls🙏🏻🥺🥺
