There was a scene where Kyle mentioned that Logan had tarnished America’s honor. In other words, Eugene came to Joseon to carry out the mission of killing Logan Taylor. This place is a Japanese-style tavern in Joseon. The geisha deliberately opened the door, likely after discussing it with Ae-shin in advance. Ae-shin also had a mission to kill Logan Taylor, so she went there to assassinate him. However, by coincidence, Eugene had the same mission to eliminate Logan, and their objectives overlapped. Since Logan Taylor was a threat not only to America but also to Joseon, Ae-shin intended to kill him. That’s when she unexpectedly ran into Eugene. In the play, Ae-shin does not want to live as a gentle woman. She is a character who tries to live as a fighter who protects the turbulent Joseon Dynasty, so I like her role. You can see her beliefs by looking at the works chosen by actor Kim Tae-ri. This is why I like actor Kim Tae-ri. I really love the character Ae-shin. She is not a woman who needs to be protected by men but a remarkable fighter who chooses to live for her country. She is an independent and progressive female character, which makes her even more admirable. Most of the female characters in this drama are also strong, confident, and forward-thinking, just like Ae-shin, which I truly appreciate.
