no but im so glad they gave us a happy ending cause otherwise what would be the point, the whole message of the drama is fate, Sol was given a second chance to save Sunjae and he is meant to fall in love with Sol in every timeline, they’re meant to be together in the end. SJ forgetting about her forever would’ve felt so unfair to the characters

2024-07-01 07:17:15 +0000 UTCThey haven't seen the ending yet, but I feel like a sad ending couldn't have happened here. Im sol and Sun-jae never had enough happy moments together to justify it. Most shows with sad endings usually make up for it by having the two love interests together a lot to build that up. Im sol and Sun-Jae kept splitting up and not really being together. A sad ending would have been a complete cop out because the events leading up to the finale are all sad when you think about it. Im sol is depressed because Sun Jae keeps dying and She can't be with him. Sun-Jae is sad because he can't be with im sol. Imagine having an entire series of that and then at the end having them not be together. Would have annoyed a lot of people - including myself. I even said to myself that if this ending isn't happy, i'll throw my computer out of the window, lol.

2024-06-30 14:45:47 +0000 UTCtotally understand tiana's dilemma at the end! but i'm actually happy with the ending having watched it, cuz i realised that they definitely deserve to live happily ever after together after all the shit both of them went thru. i loved 2521's ending, it made it a 🤌 show but the whole point of this drama was so sol can save sun jae's life and through that connection, experience life again but with him this time, whilst 2521 show had a different motive since the beginning (in this show, they're meant to be together no matter the current circumstance) personally, it was satisfying to watch the ending. i don't think its badly written in my book cuz it makes sense haha. great show besides it's corniness at times hahaha 💙💛

2024-06-30 10:48:35 +0000 UTCThis drama's motif is that they're soulmates. Just because the events have been erased from Sun-Jae's brain, it doesn't mean they were erased from his soul. Which had endured many lifetimes of loving im sol. That's what is so beautiful about this drama, and why the writing captivated me so much. Because if you believe in soulmates and fate (destiny), it means that no amount of fate correcting can ever change it. Likewise, our core memories and our brain are connected to the soul. So like remembering another life (which is common in korean dramas and its history) you would also be able to remember events of a life you once lived as the memories Im sol erased weren't erased from his soul. The show even alludes to this throughout this episode by playing the idea of them being fated and her being the trigger to pulling back his memories. The idea of fate and soulmates is very romantic, and every event that im sol tried to prevent in the past would still happen. Even if the time or place was different. Like the mountain, like his shoulder, etc. That's also why he regained his memories. Because Im sol tried to prevent him knowing her, like she tried to prevent everything else. And fate corrected that. Even writing this I get chills. I could probably write a full dissertation on how profound this show is - romantically and spiritually speaking, haha.

2024-06-30 10:41:52 +0000 UTCyes, I think this is the case too since Sunjae was the one wearing the watch when Sol clicked it, it makes sense that like Sol he would see flashes of these memories. Additionally since Sol was the one to press on the watch, Sunjae is seeing every timeline that Sol have lived through not just the timeline he last died on.

2024-06-30 10:15:56 +0000 UTCi believe that Sol is not in a wheelchair and not currently targeted by Kim Youngso because she somehow got her family to move out of the neighborhood earlier than all the other timelines since we saw them in a moving truck by the time Sunjae just got his shoulder injury. So was never in Kim Youngso's radar. It would be easy for her to convince her family of moving too since we already know in the past episodes that the neighborhood was completely demolished and turned into a park of sort.
