The Moons of Oceanside: Time & Zodiacs

(The Following was created by Moe for the Oceanside Universe, yes its canon)

In Oceansides, the months are measured in moon cycles!

One moon Cycle= 62 days

January-February: Rose Moon

March-April: Obsidian Moon

May-June: Blue Moon

July-August: Emerald Moon

September-October: Yellow moon

Blood moon: overrides the yellow moon on day 61 and 62

November-December: Amethyst Moon

So a common thing to say when meeting up would be something like: ''Let's meet on the third day of the Blue Moon'' or ''My Birthday is the third day of the Obsidian moon!'' etc.

During Daytime you can usually see the current and past moon.

They also hold the Zodiacs of Oceanside

The Trident (Rose Moon): Those born under the Rose moon often strive for great things, setting high expectations of others and even more so themselves. They are ambitious, competitive, and hot headed, often well suited to leadership roles. When they have an opinion, they are quick to share it, allowing them to be direct and precise, however this can also be viewed as brash or rude. Their drive for success is both a gift and a curse. As when they set their mind to something they are determined to reach that goal and fail to see their smaller achievements.

They are at their best when allowed to express themselves in a safe environment or under the guidance of a good leader.

The Octopus (Blue Moon): Those born under the Blue moon are reliable, patient and give affection to those around them. They look for the best in people, a trait with can be exploited, making some view them as gullible. They are devoted and helpful to their loved ones but can become lost and afraid if left alone. As they are so emotionally open, friendships come fast and are long lasting.

The Wheel (Emerald Moon): Those born under the Emerald moon are paradoxically both generous and self-centred. They do not do this with any ill intent, but know themselves well enough to understand they may need help in the future. Simply asking is unimaginable. You’ll never find someone more eager to help, but keep in mind, nothing is free.

The Canon (Yellow Moon): Those born under the Yellow moon work best in teams, being fiercely loyal and ready to lead a hand. They lean more towards an analytical mindset, avoiding confrontations as much as possible in favour of organised conversation. If they are ever crossed or feel slighted they will silently hold a grudge for years to come, denying anything is wrong and pitying themselves behind closed doors, keeping the peace in public. They might share their feelings if a trusted one takes the first step, as being vulnerable is one of their greatest fears.

If something doesn’t immediately work out they can quickly give up and move onto something more inviting.
