He stopped them from voting out Hoshi because to him he needed to find that person who would get in the way of them finding the money. Once they vote someone out they can no longer focus on it as much. (Mingyu and Hoshi have had a long rivalry with Mafia. One of my favorite Mafia games is one they did on In the Soop) Or at least have an idea of who they are. Of course it backfires. I had to watch it again to even understand why he even stopped them when they were ready to vote. The chaos. Really enjoyed this. Your reactions are my family watching all over again. P.s. The cop thing. I think because he was already being suspected and he gets suspected often. He knew most of what the cop knew. Just didn't know the cop had told other people. Silly puppy. One last thing... It's entirely a Mingyu thing to do but he may have also decided to do the cop thing because he knew it would spice up the show. They all are always aware that they are filming.
