2020-12-06 19:45:03 +0000 UTCGreat chapter! I don't think I've seen any other author use runes for the first task the same way before, so kudos on finding a unique method. I also loved the part on elemental magic. If I ever decide to write my own fanfic I would probably incorporate elemental magic and give magical creatures a bigger role in the story. Think about it, a wampus cat can do legilimency, a hidebehind can turn invisible, and a horned serpent's jewel is said to be capable of flight. What if wizards originally picked up those skills from them, and what's keeping them from learning from them directly now?

You've done a great job making him extremely skilled without relying on the Naruto-esque "Throw mountains of power at the problem until it goes away" trope. Sebastien and Appoline are both great characters and feel like real beings. Thoroughly enjoying everything here, and am extremely impressed with your pace. 🙂
