Samurado Updates!

So if there was a theme to the updates over the last month...it was Upgrades!

So the ENTIRE way you received temporary updates was not only confusing...but also just didn't feel FUN. I felt myself getting increasingly frustrated whenever I playtested for a long time.

It was ENTIRELY luck based before, and more often then not you just NEVER seemed to get what you were looking for.

So now, while there are still some random elements, it's now a little more luck based.

MAIN UPGRADE CHANGE:

You'll notice there's a little diamond in the HUD now. It's only active outside the HUB area where the shop is. And now, there are 3 rarities associated with this diamond:
- high tier (black)
- mid tier (blue)
- low tier (brown)

Which tier reward you get after each room entirely depends on this diamond. And this diamond depletes EVERY TIME you take damage. So you are very much encouraged to play it safe and try not to take too much damage. (But you still gotta be fast to beat the time trial ghost to advance in the story/get other permanent stat increases)

And then after the room is cleared, a "slot machine" sorta thing happens where you'll get either STATS, or A CHEST. You can pay to re-roll if you don't like what you got.

With this change, it's feeling a LOT more fun, and I'm really curious to hear what you guys think!

THERE'S A SHOP IN THE HUB NOW:

I have been DYING to get this implemented so you actually have something to save up those skull coins for.

What you buy is permanent, so these will be pretty pricey (although the alpha build I'm putting out has everything priced at 1, just so you can play around with it)

Everything you see there is already implemented and purchaseable...EXCEPT for the FruitFly companion. He needs more cooking. But I can't wait to get him in there!

Most of the icons are placeholders for now, though I'm fairly happy with the overall asthetic of the shop and most of it will likely stay as is.

PLUS...GAME BREAKING BUGS FIXED

The last build came with SO many bugs, many of them game breaking, that I spent quite a bit of time tackling those as well. Endless loading screens/sometimes not being able to move with KB/keys not updating properly/Doors not unlocking after you died plus so...so.....so...SO...many more, have all been fixed.

To all you Hall of Famers: Your alpha build is being uploaded now, and will be available to download by the time you finish reading this!
