we are FINALLY back online!!!
Honestly I want to thank all of you for your patience. It's been VERY difficult for us to only post 1 video per week but the extra time to get properly settled into the house is paying off tremendously. We're settling into the new place nicely, still painting/unpacking but the bulk of the work is done now. Though there's still loads of little things to do that I don't normally have to worry about with a local move (example, we need new health cards and driver's liscences and liscence plates, etc.)
Our goal is to be back to 100% operation by October. Meaning 2 videos per week like normal, plus back to work on Samurado. Will keep you posted.
NOW! for the video:
This one was a LOT of work, and I'm very proud of it. Brandon from 2020 could have really used this tutorial lol.
This one is a bit experimental, as it emcompasses a wide variety of topics. It started with me just wanting to show how to handle scene transitions when you have multiple doors, but then that bleeds into other areas like data persistence, and I didn't want to have string references for scenes so now we're getting into editor scripting. But I didn't want to leave anything sloppy. The content here is what I use (or will be using after an update) in Veil of Maia for doors, scene transitions, data persistence, and more.
Let me know what you think of this format! I really enjoy going DEEP into topics, but Youtube isn't always kind to this kind of content, so I'm testing it to see how it does.
Anyways, let me know what you think!
Cheers
