Samurado Update - Having Fun with the Upgrade System

We're near the home stretch with the upgrade system! Obviously there won't be 3 chests in each room in the final game, that's just for testing, but here's a sneak peek of some of them.

For those interested in the breakdown of how it works, here it is:

There are 2 types of upgrades: Temporary, and Permanent.

Temporary Upgrades - These are acquired during your runs. There are two ways to get these:

1 - By clearing a room of enemies. (This will either result in you being able to choose a stat upgrade, OR a chest might be spawned into the room. Which leads to point #2)

2 - By opening a chest. You'll need a key for these, which have a small chance of being dropped when you kill a baddie. Chests can give you 1 of 3 rewards:

a - Currency - which can be spent on permanent upgrades after your run.
b - Stat Upgrades (like damage, move speed, throw range etc.)
c - Ability Upgrades (like throwing a higher # of Shurikens. Hitting more than 1 enemy with your sword throw, melee Explosions. Etc.)

[There will also be a guaranteed number of chests on each floor via a Treasure Room(s)]

Permanent Upgrades - These are purchased in a HUB area before you begin your runs. You can:

1 - Permanently upgrade your abilities. Just like the above.

2 - Permanently upgrae your stats. Just like above.

So luckily, I was able to reuse the temporary upgrades for the permanent upgrades. 

There is a high limit for every upgrade, and every stat, and once that cap is reached that upgrade options is removed from the game.

I expect it'll take quite a bit of testing and tweaking to get these values feeling right, as well as how much things should cost (Becuase I forgot to mention, one of the upgrade options is to increase the amount of currency you pick up. So you might end up focusing on that and doing a currency run in order to buy that next sweet permanent upgade.)

Let us know what you think! We have a TRILLION ideas for upgrades that could be added, but we need to move on to other features of the game. (But who knows, we could always add more stuff in later ;)
