Question For You: To Know You Deeply

What gift would make you feel truly seen? Like, receiving it you would know that the girl giving it to you really knows you, really listened to you when you weren't expecting it at all? Comment below. I want to hear each and every one of you. Spare me 2 minutes and write for me, okay? Or, take a moment to journal for yourself as an act of self exploration!

Gift giving is an art... it is to put yourself in their shoes entirely. What would make your special someone happy? It is to ask yourself how they see the world :') And I think that is really special.

Yesterday, a good friend came over for tea. We were set on baking together, pumpkin bread. but not nothing of the sort happened. We talked, and gabbed and gabbed some more. At some point, a stool found itself in my tub and my hair started falling to the floor. I entrusted in her my hair and needless to say.. she made me look hot. An incredible job. She's talented artist not only in the art of acrylic painting, drumming, and tattooing, but hair cutting all the same.

She had to run out to visit her sweet mom in the hospital, and just before she left... she dropped a gift on my kitchen table. Can you guess what it was..?

.. a Nightmare Before Christmas karaoke microphone! It's for kids. It glows up and makes your voice sound like the next Charlie xcx... but here I stood above the table, with a wide smile, a little stunned that she got me something so me. so silly. so pointless. but still, it says "I wanted to make you smile."

She's been a huge supporter of my singing, hm. It's truly thanks to her that I sing for you at all <3

We're best friends and I love her very much. All of you, along with my few in-person friendships make me want to be better every day. I can't believe the life I have. I'm a hopeless romantic and I once lost all hope of having friends, finding love. To wake up to this life every day is my gift. And I thank each one of you every day I go to sleep. <3

P.S. I am just beginning to understand the importance of writing as an act of self exploration. What's more, the necessity of being vulnerable with people you trust to really see you in conjunction with writing to really make some breakthroughs on un-working negative patterns... I am onto something here! I will share my process and finding with you soon, I promise. I want to help you, if I only can. :)
