Month two, I still cannot find the first Keiko. I shall scale the mountains of lost papers and see what they glean. Maybe someday soon I will find it.
Until then, here's some more SAA stuff :3
"Shuffling toward him in the darkness was the gigantic, blasphemous form of a black thing not wholly ape and not wholly insect. Its hide hung loosely upon its frame, and its rugose, dead-eyed rudiment of a head swayed drunkenly from side to side. Its fore paws were extended, with talons spread wide, and its whole body was taut with murderous malignity despite its utter lack of facial expression."
-The Horror at the Museum, H.P. Lovecraft
Today I decided to showcase something a bit further on into SAA, The Dimensional Shambler. First appearing in "The Horror at the Museum" the shambler is an iconic Lovecraftian creature. It's often described as looking otherworldly and strange even by the standards of other lovecraftian creatures and so I wanted to find a good way to depict this and did so by making it completely out of modeling clay and photoshop.
These other pics are the sketches I did on my way to finding the design I wanted.
I hope to once again make something horrifying out of clay and push it before you all. Only time will tell.
And before anyone asks, no, time was not kind to the poor shambler, and the clay model is no longer with us.
RIP clay shambler.
Check back next month for some more SAA concepts. Next month I'll post all of the early concept art for Haruko~
