Going to start actually writing stuff on my photo post for the New Year. So here's how I Photoshop on tattoos! I start by making a plain, straight-forward, flat design on a new layer. This will be my base for all my photos so I lock that one (like won't touch it again once I'm happy with it) and duplicate it to have a copy to work with and actually warp to my body (in this case my arms). I shrink it down and rotate it to be pretty much in the spot I want it. Then I use the warp tool in Photoshop to bend the design and curve it in a way that follows the curve of my arm (or where ever). After that's looking good I make a mask layer and remove/hide any part that's not on my arm or would be covered up by the shirt. The warp tool is pretty much the key though. You can curve or bend things so it looks like it's folded in half or completely flat. Oh! I also lower the opacity some and add a very slight blur around the edges to match the blurriness of where ever I'm place it. Since not everything is 100% in focus at all times and tattoos aren't really a super dark, harsh black color. Now that's all I do xD
