Love the car discussion and completely agree with your approach, Ryan. There are a few fixes we'll make on our shared 173k+ miles 2001 Hyundai (no to the A/C, yes to the brakes), and the freedom of not having a debt payment is worth it. I take better care of it as it ages than I have with my previously nicer cars, and it has also encouraged me to use the bus, my bike/feet more to savor its last years.
