The scene where he is destroying the Taekwondo Gym is giving me the same vibes from The Handmaiden (lesbian movie) where Sookhee is going around and destroying the library that traumatized Lady Hideko and Lady Hideko's inner monologue about Sookhee being her saviour really gives me the same feeling from Dohoe and Juyeong (also great lesbian movie, would recommend)

A lot of people seemed confused by this episode, but I loved it - not everything needs to be spelled out. Also, now on rewatch, I am again crying and feeling all those things that the show was trying to accomplish. For me, that's a sign that the story is well-told

The scene at the taekwondo studio was so cathartic. I could just imagine what DoHoe must be feeling.
Yes what DoHoe did was wrong but I also understand it. It must have been so tough living under his father's shadow and rule for so long. After all of that to not make something out of yourself (that DoHoe felt was success) he must have been desperate. I think he also wanted to prove to himself that he was better than his father and achieved what he wanted so badly. Even though he knew it was all fake maybe he ended up believing it because he had no choice.

He kept failing the entrance exam so he was never able to attend university. Then roamed around the campus acting like he was enrolled and in the end faked a uni diploma, which is how he got his job.

I'm so sorry I know it's dumb for me not to get it but what did Dohoe do exactly? Fake his exam results? Say he'd gone to the college when he hadn't? What exactly? I feel like I'm not getting what actually happened and I feel dumb lol

All I did was cry and hurt in this episode. That plot twist! Poor DoHoe. I love Ju Yeoung for giving him the space and “permission” to just let it all out. They both needed to cry, rage and burn some shit to find their peace.
Even Ju Yeoung singing at the end of the episode was heart wrenching.
