Always feels like I’m watching a series with my bestie - often watch and come back to see you have the same responses - case in point NLMG - I knew you’d freak out like I did with their love scene - hugs and kisses 😘

This is one of those shows where I related to the storyline more than the romance because it was so realistic. I felt so many of the things that SiWon was going through and Daon as well with having a tough time communicating and thinking that he needed to be perfect for Siwon. Don't get me wrong the romance part was wonderful and they had such good chemistry but I feel like it was about so much more than that. I heard that after To My Star S2 the director will take a break from BLs and though that makes me sad because I loved everything she has done so far she should do what she feels is best for her.

I actually disagree with it being truer if Si-On left Da-Un and his mother because the reality is that it’s not actually ever as easy as just completely cutting off ties with your family, especially considering he is living at home and probably doesn’t have the money to leave. And I think his mother does love him but she messes up and has left him with insecurities but she does provide for him and whilst she doesn’t overly showing her love for him it’s clearly there as she wants what is best for him, she just did it wrong. I personally find that very realistic.
I used to think forgiving someone meant having no justice for how they wronged you but now (in most situations) I can see how it actually helps heal both sides.
But hey, it’s good that we all have different opinions as it helps see these characters in different lights:) But I’m a sucker for a happy ending!

Overall, the story is wonderful but I feel unsatisfied with the ending. It would have been truer if Si-On left Da-Un and start his life outside of any influence. Away from his mother who never love him really. she loved a toy like a child play with a puppet, away from a society who is nothing but superficial. And away from Da-Un, who do everything he want without any asking and then felt sorry. I personally do not believe in forgiveness, It is a way too easy to take to justify shady motivation.
But that me, I am a sucker for bittersweet or sad ending.

i don’t usually leave comments but blueming has become one of my favorite comfort shows, it’s just so good! the acting was great, the cinematography was so beautiful to look at, the writing is so nice and simple (there’s none of the cringey/toxic bl tropes we usually see, literally just 2 college students falling in love with each other), the actors have phenomenal chemistry, and i love and appreciate both the characters and their flaws so much. the show is perfect, it’s only setback is being too short. it’s been so wonderful to rewatch this with you javi ❤️

About the guitarist in the end…
I do think you should check out and read the webtoon “Who can define popularity?” if you got the time.
Remember the glasses boy? His name is Do Ba Woo, do what you must with this information 🤫
I’m not sure if this will get a season 2. Blueming is from the same director as To My Star and she apparently will stop directing BL after that second season so who knows? But that last shot? Will Do Ba Woo get his sequel? We will have to wait to find out.

Yea , that's one of my favorite things about this show, a lot if the conversation is realistic. I liked the "To My Star " reference / shout out. "I don't want to see the multiverse, i already saw spider-man" has me dying
