I like that were seeing little glimpses of Jerome around Gotham from his graffiti smile on walls to people like that woman wearing clown make up there subtlety building him back up. I'm enjoying this season were getting everyone slowly turning more into just darker people especially Edward, Gordon, Bruce, Penguin as Gotham itself gets worse , the city is slowly going into the Gotham we know Batman has to deal with I cant wait to see Ed go full Riddler if he even does like he's already friends with Penguin. The talk between Bruce and Matches perfectly not only describes Gotham City as a whole but just is a good lesson/ writing choice for Bruce to have his mindset be what it will turn into. His ending narration I loved in his letter to Alfred. I like that he's gonna be learning just the streets of Gotham with Selina when normally he'd just leave Gotham for 10 years after college, come back and have the skills to then scope out the city on his own. Just very interesting choices going on especially for him being what 14 now I think, I like his and Selina's character arcs alot everyone is changing, Gotham getting weirder and Gordon is so stressed out I really love it him, Harvey and the new captain being the most honest cops so far.

Matches Malone seems to be taking the role of Joe Chill from the comics who had a ridiculously large moustache maybe that’s who he was referring to when he mentioned a moustached fellow he dreamt of. The club where Bruce Wayne met Jeri, has a strong similarity with the club owned by Top Dollar, the main villain of the gothic revenge movie The Crow. Now there’s a movie! fuck the remake really hard in the buttocks all day long I hate everything about it. Yes Shan they were chanting "Solomon" and "Grundy", and we all know that’s a nice nod towards the supervillain Solomon Grundy. The street gang known as the Mutants are mentioned in this episode but we don’t see them, they were originally from Frank Miller's 1986 graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns, which we knew already. “I wish you were a monster. But you're just a man.” Bruce to Matches Malone. I wish you were taller or stronger or lifted weights. Me to Bruce whilst watching. He’s supposed to be 14 now, perfect time to be weight lifting, kick boxing, some judo, some jiu jitsu basics at least, and yes I know he was hitting the bag two episodes ago but you gotta bop n weave if your gonna be Batman. Lori Petty was excellent as Temu Harley Quinn, she was Livewire in Superman The Animated Series. And Keanu Reeves’s girlfriend in the only Point Break movie worth watching.
