Also, let's remember a lot of this is for a game and is based more upon archetypes and legends - not the real Asia for eg. Just like 'typical' D&D is not your normal Europe! Not sure why people get so caught up on that. Who cares if inspiration came from Wikipedia.

Most people who write articles based upon 'Europe' are usually not educated or immersed either, but I can see where James is going with this. Mind you: I am from Australia. Might be enough to get an ancient Australian article over the line? (Even though I research more on native American people/First People for eg).

Couldn't agree more Chris Hall. Cultural & Geographical books from 3e were my favs. (And right back to African adventures articles in Dragon). I have often mentioned this in forums. I'd like to see some of these too. I did do dwarven races based on African & Oriental legends, but don't think there was room for the cultural 'side-boxes' and abilities were actually modified to make them not like those, so I am not sure EN5ider is keen on 'cultural' articles. Probably in name of stereotyping and sensitivities...but if things are based upon 'legends & myth' I am not sure where the line is. In any case I like those articles too Chris.

In all seriousness, perhaps you could write an article and send it to them? They do accept submissions, or so I was led to believe.

I would really like to see some articles about running D&D in non-Eurocentric settings. For example, an article for each continent detailing a few iconic animals, myths, monsters, and weapons. I know that East-Asia has already had a lot of attention here (e.g. the "Oriental Adventures" book), but I've not seen much D&D content for Africa, Australia, or the Americas, and these places have a lot of wonderful myth and legend that would be perfect for a D&D adventure.
