I very much enjoy this (the extended here) film. Effects are dated in places, yes, but I enjoy the film as a whole despite them and can't agree with how much flack it gets. I enjoy how each of the four films takes on a different sci-fi subgenre.... well, not fully... 2 and 4 are both sci-fi - action films, but different angles within it.

2025-05-19 19:10:27 +0000 UTCI'm a die-hard Alien, & Aliens (my absolute fav-my cats are Jonsey & Newt!) fan, and the 4th movie is not bad...but I don't like this one as much. Killing off Newt & Hicks that we are so invested in, the immediate sex im implication, the rapey-ness...it just doesn't sit as well as the 1st two! ❤️
