EARLY ACCESS: Venom

This one looks like it's going to have ads in it because it got hit with copyright and it wouldn't let me turn off the ads - so I'm sorry about that! I'm working on it as we speak!

EARLY ACCESS: Venom

Comments

Our 8 year has wanted to watch this movie for a year. Given that his favorite movies are Twister(s), the Meg 1 & 2, and every one in the Godzilla/King Kong franchise, we decided to let him. We thought he’d bail at the first sign of Venom, but nope!!! He LOVED it and now walks around doing a way-too-good impression of “I am Venom”.

I saw Tom Hardy but I heard Adam Sandler

I think she said Blade 2 & 3 after Venom 2

So, what's next on the Marvel train? I'm guessing next week is "Into the Spiderverse", then "Venom 2" and then "No Way Home?" There's also the "Hawkeye" series. It's only 6 half-hour episodes, so you could easily binge that.

You saw Venom in Spider-man 3

Brian Booher

If you have seen Secret Life of Pets (if you haven't you should add it to the list. Cute/fun/animated) the dark haired scientist woman does the voice of Gidget

Chris From Fort Worth

Venom isn't Marvel's greatest movie but does it's job. Not the one I'd reach to if I want to show someone who's never seen a Marvel movie one. That would be Iron Man or Captain America.

Mr Marvelous

You saw another version of Venom in Spider-Man 3. Tobey Maguire’s Peter got the symbiote and it gave him the black suit. Then he took that off and it got on Eddie in that movie.

Zach Strand

I was thinking the same thing. I was wondering when she watched the first film

So Venom is related to Spideman. Venom is one of Spiderman's most popular villains, along with The Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus. Basically, Spiderman found the Venom symbiote on an alien planet called Battleworld during an event called Secret Wars. A bunch of heroes were forced to battle a bunch of villains to the death for a cosmic being called The Beyonder. During the Secret Wars, Spiderman's costume got damaged. Thor and the Hulk inform him of a machine that can fabricate any type of clothing. However, Spider-Man chose the wrong machine and bonded himself to the Venom symbiote instead. Eventually he'd break free of the symbiote, and it would go to Eddie Brock, whose life Peter Parker ruined. Venom would menace Spider-Man for awhile before moving to San Francisco and becoming an antihero. Spiderman 3 covers the basic story of Venom being a villain, while the Venom movies focus on Venom's time as an antihero. The biggest difference is that the Venom movies have no involvement by Spiderman in the story at all.

Haven't checked in a while, but a few months ago, I noticed ublock was blocking ads on Hulu, Max, Disney+, and Peacock.

Joe Blankenship

Don't sweat it if you need to include ads to get things through. For patrons, if you're on PC or Android (don't know about Apple), you can use Firefox with uBlock Origins and PrivacyBadger and you'll never see the ads. Also, the reason you thought Venom had to do with Spider-Man is because Venom is traditionally a Spider-Man villain (and sometimes anti-hero) from the comics, and was in the Raimi films in SM3. But the Sony films took the character in a different direction.

Eddie Brock and Venom: the love story we deserve

I was wondering when Ashleigh mentioned at the end of the Honey I Shrunk the Kids video that up next was "Venom...2? Something about carnage??" if I had somehow missed Venom 😂 excited to get home to watch this

JC

You already saw a version of Venom in Spider-man 3.

TheSingulatarian

You need to watch Bronson. It basically saved Tom Hardy's career after Star Trek Nemesis which almost destroyed it.
