the parents didn't know that River was being tested on. They were completely benefiting from the fascist society they lived in and were only able to worry about Simon being an Embarassment rather then the possibility that the Aliance was horrific

2024-02-21 21:12:58 +0000 UTCNot wanting to seem overly critical (particularly as I've watched the whole series many times) but it is rather painful to see River being judged somewhat harshly here. I suspect that will change though, once more of the trauma she was forced to endure becomes apparent. My stance may also be coloured by the work I've done with sufferers of PTSD and other mental health issues. I'll be keen to see as the series progresses. As ever though, a great watchalong!
